Created for the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus’s Spring 2026 concert, Beautiful City is a commissioned video project celebrating the beauty, resilience, and spirit of community found throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Built around an original creative concept, the project involved planning multiple shoot days and traveling throughout the Twin Cities to capture both the iconic landmarks that define the region and the smaller, more intimate moments that reflect the warmth and humanity of the people who call it home. The resulting video brings together sweeping city scenes and everyday expressions of connection, offering a hopeful portrait of the community we share.

Filmed during the Minnesota winter, the production presented its own set of creative and logistical challenges, from unpredictable weather to changing natural light and difficult shooting conditions. Working through those constraints was an important part of bringing the original vision to life while maintaining a consistent visual style and creating a compelling final piece.

This project was especially rewarding for its combination of creative concept development, location scouting, production planning, and on-location cinematography. The finished video was designed to complement the chorus’s Spring 2026 concert, using visual storytelling to celebrate the Twin Cities as a place of beauty, belonging, and possibility.
